NEW YORK -- Cubs first baseman Derrek Lee has cleared waivers and is eligible to be traded to any team. Now in his 14th season, Lee has struggled this year, hitting .251 with 16 homers and 56 RBIs through Tuesday night.

Lee does have 10-and-5 veto rights over trades, which allow any player in the majors for at least 10 years and five with the same team to reject any deal he chooses. Lee did just that earlier this season when he vetoed a trade to the Angels before the waiver deadline.
