Mets will finish Alderson interview Thursday

The Mets will complete their first interview Thursday with Sandy Alderson for the GM position, as they could only schedule a half day last Thursday for him due to conflicts and will interview at least one more GM candidate before moving the second round.

The other known candidates who've interviewed once already are Josh Byrnes, Rick Hahn and Allard Baird.

The Tigers denied the Mets permission to interview assistant GM Al Avila.
