MILWAUKEE (AP) Ryan Braun is making a smooth transition to right field.

He is also hitting .315 with seven homers and 23 RBIs two months into a 2014 season that finds the Milwaukee Brewers atop the NL Central.

Braun's 2013 season ended early after he was suspended 65 games as part of the Biogenesis doping scandal. He returned to spring training and went from left to right field.

Manager Ron Roenicke has been impressed with Braun's play in the outfield as he gets used to the new angles of balls flying off the bat.

At the plate, Braun has been hitting second of late in a potent lineup. Braun's average is back up to .315 after he missed two weeks with a right oblique injury.
