Philadelphia Phillies left hander Cliff Lee was transferred from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day DL with a grade 1/2 elbow strain, the team announced.

Lee pitched for Single A Clearwater on Wednesday night, throwing 59 pitches in four innings, and was scheduled to make at least one more rehab start before returning to the team.

Lee, 35, has been out since May 20 with a strained left elbow and is still owed $37.5 million on his contract after this season.

Lee, the 2008 American League Cy Young Award winner and four-time All-Star, is 4-4 with a 3.18 ERA this season for the Phillies, who are 41-51, nine games back of the Atlanta Braves and Washington Nationals in the National League East.
