Standing: 5th in NL East

Team Leaders:

Batting Average: Ben Revere, .295

Home Runs: Marlon Byrd, 18

ERA: Cole Hamels, 2.93

The Phillies had a rough first half despite putting together a five-game win streak shortly before the All-Star break. In July they optioned pitcher B.J. Rosenberg to Triple-A, activated right-hander Jeff Manship from the disabled list and called up outfielder Grady Sizemore from Triple-A. Catcher Carlos Ruiz is expected to return from the DL next week, while pitcher Cliff Lee, also on the DL, is planning to return to the rotation on July 21.

Sitting ten games out of first place, the Phillies are expected to be involved in a trade or two before the July 31 deadline, and closer Jonathan Papelbon has said he would welcome a trade to a contender for the second-half.
