After he was hit by two separate pitches on Sunday night against the Cardinals, Dodgers shortstop Hanley Ramirez exited the game. But after preliminary exam was negative, Ramirez said he expects to be in the lineup on Monday against the Pirates, according to Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register

Los Angeles manager Don Mattingly did not commit to Ramirez's presence in Monday's lineup, only saying, "we'll see."

Cardinals pitcher Carlos Martinez hit Ramirez in the left shoulder early in the game. In the ninth inning, Trevor Rosenthal plunked Ramirez near the left hand, causing the shortstop to leave the game.

YasielPuig was also hit by a pitch in the left hand during the series with the Cardinals. He left Saturday's game early and sat out Sunday. The All-Star is expected to undergo further evaluation on Monday.

The Dodgers won Sunday's game, 4-3.
