Despite trade rumors swirling around for weeks, the Philadelphia Phillies are currently telling other teams that pitcher Cole Hamels is not available, reports Buster Olney of ESPN.
Hamels is thought to be one of the more "untouchable" players on the Phillies roster, but as recently as Monday his name was linked to trade rumors.
Hamels is 4-5 with a 2.83 ERA and 9.01 strikeouts per nine innings in 2014. The 30-year-old was drafted by Philadelphia in 2002 and has been with the team for his entire MLB career.
