New York Mets' Ruben Tejada 'OK' after being hit on hand by pitch

New York Mets shortstop Ruben Tejada is "OK" and did not need an X-ray after getting hit on the hand by a pitch in Tuesday night's game against the Seattle Mariners, Adam Rubin of ESPNNewYork.com reports.

Tejada was hit in the fifth inning by starter Erasmo Ramirez. He stayed in the game.

Mets manager Terry Collins said after the game Tejada "seems OK," and that he was surprised how fast Tejada's hand swelled.

Tejada is batting .236 on the season with two home runs and 22 RBIs.
