Dodgers sign pitcher Bruce Billings to minor league deal

The Los Angeles Dodgers have signed pitcher Bruce Billings to a minor league contract. He was released by the New York Yankees last Saturday.

The Los Angeles Dodgershave signed pitcher Bruce Billings to a minor league contract. 

Billings, 28, was assigned to Triple A Albuquerque. He was released by the New York Yankees last Saturday. The right-hander appeared in one game for the Yankees this season, allowing four runs in four innings against the Los Angeles Angels on April 25.

At Triple A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Billings had a 5.06 ERA in 80 innings this year.

Billings previously pitched in the major leagues in 2011, appearing in one game with the Colorado Rockies and three games with the Oakland Athletics.
