Major League Baseball denied the Tampa Bay Rays' protest of a loss against the Toronto Blue Jays Saturday.

Major League Baseball denied the Tampa Bay Rays' protest of a loss against the Toronto Blue Jays Saturday. 

The Rays filed the protest after Toronto manager John Gibbons appeared to lodge a challenge too late. Gibbons' challenge was upheld, and Rays outfielder Wil Meyers was called out on a pickoff by Blue Jays pitcher Mark Buehrle. Tampa Bay would go on to lose 5-4.
