Nationals P Stephen Strasburg leaves early with shoulder discomfort
Washington Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg left Tuesday night's start after three innings.
The Nationals did not give a reason for Strasburg's exit during the game, but afterwards manager Matt Williams said the pitcher has some irritation underneath his shoulder blade.
Strasburg told reporters that thought he could pitch through it but left the game to be cautious and will see a chiropractor, according to Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post. He said he didn't want to risk further injury after he tried compensating the discomfort by altering his pitching mechanics.
Washington's athletic trainer checked on Strasburg while he was pitching during the second inning, but he stayed in the game at that time.

Pitcher Doug Fister pinch hit for Strasburg in the third and Sammy Solis then took over on the mound.
Strasburg gave up two earned runs and four hits while striking out two in his three innings before leaving. The Miami Marlins won the game 2–1, with Strasburg picking up the loss.
