Watch: Francisco Lindor records first career hit, slips rounding first base
Cleveland Indians prospect Francisco Lindor picked up his first career hit in Sunday's game against the Detroit Tigers but still managed to embarrass himself in the process.
Lindor roped a line drive into the rightfield corner off Joakim Soria in the top of the ninth inning, but lost his footing and fell flat on his face as he rounded first base and attempted to stretch it into a double. He was able to make it back to the bag before rightfielder J.D. Martinez threw the ball in.
Lindor seemed to jokingly blame his stumble on Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera, who was nowhere near Lindor when tripped. Cabrera, the Indians' dugout and first base umpire Chris Segal couldn't help but laugh.

Lindor, a switch-hitting shortstop, is the No. 4 prospect in baseball according to MLB.com. Sunday was his major-league debut. He entered the game in seventh inning as a pinch hitter in the DH spot and struck out batting right-handed in his first at-bat.
