ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera has gotten his confiscated equipment back.

Cabrera was ejected by plate umpire Kerwin Danley in the fifth inning of Monday night's 8-5 loss to Toronto. As Cabrera headed toward the dugout, he threw his helmet and bat toward the mound.

Umpire crew chief Joe West walked in from his position at third base and picked up the helmet and bat. West gave them to a security official located in the walkway to the umpire's room.

Cabrera said before Tuesday night's game that his equipment had been sent to the Rays clubhouse.

West's only remark on the matter to media after Monday's game was: ''Bad conduct ... Doesn't deserve comment.''
