Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre hit for the cycle in his first four plate appearances on Monday in a 12–9 win over the Houston Astros. It was his third career cycle and the ninth in franchise history.

Teammate Shin-Soo Choo also hit for the cycle on July 21. The last team to hit two cycles in the same season was the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2012 (Aaron Hill, twice).

Beltre hit a two-run triple in his first at-bat of the night as the Rangers chased Houston starter Lance McCullers after he recorded just one out. Beltre followed up with a double in the second, a single in the third and solo home run in the fifth.
