Nationals revoke Jayson Werth commemorative bobblehead
The borderline-terrifying bobblehead was intended to portray the facial expression of the Nats' left-fielder as he jumped toward home plate after hitting a walk-off home run against the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 4 of the 2012 National League Division Series.
“While we tried to capture his jump into home plate and commemorate it with a bobblehead for our 10th Anniversary season, we were not satisfied with the final product,” a statement released by the team Friday said. “Therefore, we will be re-issuing a new bobblehead.”
Clearly, the Nats dropped the ball on this one. So, to atone for their sins, the Nats' powers-that-be have decided to give the first 25,000 fans in attendance at Nationals Park on Sunday a voucher for a new bobblehead, which they will be able to pick up at the park during the offseason, as well as a special gift for the inconvenience.
It's safe to say things can only go up from here with the new bobbleheads.
