Former Met Keith Hernandez to release tell-all memoir in 2017
Former New York Mets first baseman Keith Hernandez will release a tell-all memoir set for release in 2017, according to the Associated Press.
Hernandez, 62, will share his life experiences from childhood to his days as a star with the New York Mets and St. Louis Cardinals. He will also reflect upon his drug use, which he admitted to in 1986.
Hernandez got his start on television with cameos on Seinfeld and Law and Order before joining the Mets broadcast booth with SNY.
"Now I'm ready to give a book my all," Hernandez told the AP. "I have a lot to say about the real Keith Hernandez, the life I had growing up in a house where a baseball glove and cleats were the only new things I ever had, all the way through the seasons I had playing in and winning the World Series with the greatest groups of guys you could imagine."

The title comes from his appearance on season three of Seinfeld, which can be seen below:
Hernandez previously partnered with Mike Bryan to publish “If at First: A Season With the Mets” in 1986 and ”Pure Baseball: Pitch by Pitch for the Advanced Fan” in 1995. He also co-wrote “Shea Good-Bye: The Untold Inside Story of the Historic 2008 Season” with Matthew Silverman.
Hernandez finished his 17-year career with two World Series titles, five All-Star team nods and a share of the 1979 NL MVP award.
