The Yankees have traded relief pitcher Justin Wilson to the Tigers for two pitching prospects, the team announced Wednesday.

In return, righthanded starters Chad Green and Luis Cessa will be headed to New York. The Yankees believe Green and Cessa to be “high-end starting prospects,” Pete Caldera of the Bergen Record reports.

Wilson, a 28-year-old lefty, appeared in 74 games for the Yankees last season after being acquired in a trade with the Pirates in exchange for Francisco Cervelli. He had a 3.10 ERA and 1.000 WHIP in 61 innings.

Wilson is the second member of the New York bullpen traded in as many days, with Adam Warren going to the Cubs in exchange for Starlin Castro on Tuesday.

Cessa, 23, was traded to the Tigers in July as part of the deal that sent Yoenis Cespedes to the Mets. He had a 2.56 ERA in 13 Double A starts before the trade but struggled after moving up to Triple A.

Green, 24, posted a 3.93 ERA in 27 Double A starts, with 137 strikeouts in 148 2/3 innings.
