After a relatively quite Christmas holiday, the MLB Hot Stove is once again heating up with rumblings of trade talks and free-agent signings.

• Former MLB outfielder Dave Henderson died Sunday at the age of 57 after suffering a massive heart attack, reports the Associated Press.

Ryan Howard, Ryan Zimmermann and Taylor Teagarden were all named in an Al Jazeera report on performance enhancing drugs. Zimmermann and Howard's attorney, William Burck of Quinn Emanuel, told MLB Trade Rumors that the accusations are “inexcusable and irresponsible.”

• The St. Louis Cardinals are intrigued by Colorado Rockies outfielders Charlie Blackmon, Carlos Gonzalez and Corey Dickerson, reports Benjamin Hochman of the St. Louis Post Dispatch.
