The Miami Marlins and second baseman Dee Gordon have agreement in principle to a deal worth five years, $50 million with $14 million vesting option for a sixth year, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.
The guaranteed portion of Gordon's deal with the Marlins will cover the remaining three years of arbitration and two years of free agency, Rosenthal reports.
Gordon hit .333 with 205 hits and 58 stolen bases in 78 attempts in 2015. He won the National League batting title and was awarded the Gold Glove and Silver Slugger award.
Gordon earned $2.5 million last season.
