Urias, De Leon among 16 Dodgers' spring training invitees

LOS ANGELES (AP) Young pitching prospects Julio Urias and Jose De Leon are among 16 players with minor league contracts who will attend big league spring training with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Urias, a 19-year-old left-hander from Mexico, has been in the Dodgers' system for three years. He is 7-7 with a 2.91 ERA in his minor league career. He was invited to camp in Glendale, Arizona, last year, and appeared in two games.

De Leon, a 23-year-old right-hander, is 16-12 with a 3.61 ERA during three seasons in the minors.

Besides Urias and De Leon, the pitchers are right-handers Chris Anderson, Lisalverto Bonilla, Brooks Brown and Matt West.

The catchers are Kyle Farmer, Jack Murphy and Shawn Zarraga. The infielders and outfielders are Cody Bellinger, Corey Brown, Charlie Culberson, Alex Hassan, Elian Herrera, Rico Noel and Rob Segedin.
