After a healthy spring training, the injury bug has finally found the Washington Nationals.

Outfielder Ben Revere was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Wednesday with a right oblique strain, and the team replaced him on the active roster with Matt den Dekker.

Revere was injured on his first swing of the season, and was initially said to have aggravated his rib cage. He went 0-for-2 in a 4–3 win over the Braves on Monday with a strikeout.

Centerfielder Michael Taylor was penciled into the leadoff spot in Revere’s place Wednesday.

The Nationals opened their season with a 4–3 win over the Braves on Monday.
