The Royals improved to 4–1 with a 4–3 walk-off win over the Twins on Sunday.

In the bottom of the 10th, Royals shortstop Christian Colon reached on a leadoff walk, and was replaced on the basepaths by speedster Terrance Gore. A throwing error on a pickoff attempt by Twins reliever Trevor May allowed Gore to advance all the way to third, and three batters later, Gore scored on a May wild pitch.

Wade Davis picked up the win in relief, pitching a perfect ninth.
