The Toronto Blue Jays have recalled ambidextrous reliever Pat Venditte from Triple A, the team announced Wednesday.

Toronto signed Venditte last fall after he spent his first MLB season with the Oakland Athletics. In 26 appearances last year, the 30-year-old went 2–2 with a 4.40 ERA in 28 2/3 innings with 23 strikeouts and 12 walks.

Venditte made four scoreless relief appearances to start his MLB career before heading to the disabled list with a right shoulder strain.
