The Los Angeles Angels have finalized a deal with pitcher Tim Lincecum, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.

Lincecum worked out for scouts in Arizona earlier this month. His former team the Giants and the White Sox were other teams reportedly interested in Lincecum’s services.

Lincecum made 15 starts for the Giants last year, going 7–4 with a 4.13 ERA and 60 strikeouts. Lincecum won back-to-back Cy Youngs in 2008 and 2009, but he has not registered an ERA under 4.00 since 2011.

The Angels have been looking for pitching since injuries to Andrew Heaney and Garrett Richards. Los Angeles traded for Jhoulys Chacin last week.

In his career, Lincecum, 31, is 108–83 with a 3.61 ERA and 1,704 strikeouts. The Angels entered Monday in third place in the AL West.
