Angels third baseman Yunel Escobar was ejected from Sunday’s 4–2 loss to the Orioles after drawing in the dirt during the seventh inning.

After Orioles slugger Chris Davis appeared to go around on a check swing, but was ruled to have held up, Escobar became upset with the third base umpire and used his finger to draw home plate in the dirt near shortstop. Home plate umpire Tim Timmons did not care for Escobar showing him up with some diamond artistry, and tossed him.

Escobar finished the game without a hit in three at bats, and without getting to put the finishing touches on his masterpiece.
