The White Sox will call up righthanded pitcher Carson Fulmer, the organization’s top prospect, according to multiple reports.

Jesse Burkhart of MLB.com and Fangraphs first reported Fulmer could be getting called up. SB Nation’s Chris Cotillo reported that Fulmer will join the parent club on Friday and initially pitch out of the bullpen.

Fulmer, 22, was the eighth pick in the 2015 draft out of Vanderbilt. MLB.com ranks him as the 33rd-best prospect in baseball and the No. 8 righthander.

Fulmer appeared at the Futures Game in San Diego last weekend and recorded two strikeouts while retiring the side in order. He has 90 strikeouts and 51 walks in 87 innings at Double A this season.

The White Sox begin a three-game series against the Angels in Anaheim on Friday.
