Rangers outfielder Shin-Soo Choo will be placed on the 15-day disabled list with a fractured left forearm after he was hit by a pitch in Monday's game against the Athletics, the team announced. It's the fourth time the veteran has been placed on the DL this season and it could force him to miss the remainder of the season, though no timetable has been given for his return.

Choo was just activated from the DL on Thursday, after he was shelved for a month with lower back inflammation. He also missed time in April, May and the beginning of June due to two separate injuries, straining his calf and his hamstring.

Carlos Beltran, who was acquired from the Yankees at this year's trade deadline, will likely see increased time in rightfield instead of at DH.

Choo has only played in 45 games, hitting .247 with seven home runs, 17 RBIs and and six stolen bases.
