The Braves plan to call up shortstop Dansby Swanson, the top pick in the 2015 draft, on Wednesday, the club announced. He will wear No. 2.

Swanson, 22, was originally selected by the Diamondbacks before being sent to Atlanta in a trade for pitcher Shelby Miller last off-season. In 2016, Miller has been brutal for Arizona, posting a 7.14 ERA in 14 starts and earning a demotion to the minor leagues.

In Double A this season, Swanson has hit .261 with eight home runs, 45 RBIs and six stolen bases.

Atlanta hosts Minnesota on Wednesday at 7:10 p.m. ET. The Diamondbacks figure to get a look at Swanson, too, hosting the Braves for a four-game set at the end of the month.
