Dansby Swanson hit his first major league home run on Tuesday night after Trea Turner of the Washington Nationals misjudged a flyball in centerfield that resulted in an inside-the-park homer.

Swanson was the the top pick in the 2015 draft and selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks. He was among the top prospects part of the trade to the Braves for Shelby Miller in the off-season. Before being called up, he hit .261 with eight home runs, 45 RBIs and six stolen bases at Double A.

Atlanta wound up losing to Washington 9–7 and fall to an MLB-worst 54–85.

Swanson finished 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
