We can talk about the 25-39 record.  We can talk about the 13 game deficit in the NL East.  We can talk about an offense that ranks 30th in batting average, 29th in on base percentage and 29th in slugging, and a pitching staff that’s not a whole lot better.  But all you really need to do, to get a clear idea of what this year’s Mets are all about, is watch this video, which is only a Barnum & Bailey soundtrack away from perfect imperfection.

The good news: it wasn't all that bad. The Mets went on to win the game, 4-3, on a Kirk Nieuwhenhuis walk-off three-run homer.
