Ronda Rousey says 'this is the most important fight of my career'
Wednesday July 29th, 2015

Women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will fight Bethe Correia in UFC 190 on Saturday, Aug. 1 in Rio de Janeiro.

Both fighters enter the bout with undefeated records, Rousey at 11-0-0 and Correia at 9-0-0. Though Rousey is the major betting favorite (-1600 at Bovada), Correia will have the advantage of fighting in her native Brazil.

Rousey and Correia have been talking trash since May, when Correia said she hoped Rousey “wouldn't kill herself” after losing their fight. Rousey, whose father died by suicide when she was a child, shot back on Twitter.

Rousey told TMZ this week that she planned to take her time with this fight and make sure Correia feels the physical effects of the match, reiterating that she doesn't like her opponent.

Men's UFC interim Men's Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor recently told SI Now that even he wouldn't want to fight Rousey. Neither does LeBron James.
