UFC star Jon Jones was given five citations—including one for drag racing—during a March 24 traffic stop in Albuquerque, N.M., reports ESPN.

Jones was also cited for equipment modifications, issue with a license plate and failure to maintain a traffic lane, Albuquerque police told ESPN.

On March 29, Jones was booked for violating his probation. The 28-year-old turned himself in after a judge issued a warrant for his arrest, according to KOAT in Albuquerque.

EAG Sports, which represents the fighter, released a statement after his arrest saying that, “Jon and his team are taking this very seriously and we will let the legal process play out.”

Jones has denied the charges against him, saying that he was merely acknowledging fans in a car next to him.

“I was literally driving down the street here in Albuquerque, I was just coming back from dinner with my teammates,” Jones told MMA Hour. “I freaking pull up to a red light and I had these fans, they like, roll down their window and are trying to get me to roll down my window. I guess I wasn't in the mood to talk so I revved my engine at them. They start clapping and smiling. The light turns green and I start driving away and literally get pulled over, like, I don't know, 10 yards. I get pulled over in a 35 miles per hour zone.”

Jones is currently under probation after a plea agreement to settle an April 2015 arrest for leaving the scene of a crash. Jones was stripped of his title after his arrest, and is scheduled to fight light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier on April 23.

Jones was also arrested in May 2012 on suspicion of driving under the influence, after which he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor DWI.

The UFC said in a statement that it is looking into the matter.
