Jon Jones gave an emotional press conference on Thursday, when he addressed the doping allegations that led to his removal from UFC 200.

“I believe that something good will come from this, but right now it’s hard to see it,” Jones said. “I’m sorry that I’m crying.”

Jones was flagged for a potential doping violation on Wednesday and was subsequently dropped from the fight card at UFC 200, where he was scheduled to face Daniel Cormier.

At the press conference, Jones maintained his innocence and explained he had been taking several supplements unrelated to performance enhancement that he thinks could have led to the positive test.

“I would never cheat,” Jones said. “I pride myself on my work ethic.”

Jones said he had not yet spoken to UFC president Dana White about the situation. On Wednesday, White predicted Jones could face a lengthy suspension, though he has the opportunity to appeal.

White was unsure whether he could find a new opponent for Cormier before Saturday’s fight.
