Every day during the Olympics, SIOC will feature an Olympian who's also a college student. Today, UNC junior and women's soccer player Tobin Heath chats about the Great Wall, Carolina blue and the "rad" Team USA sweater-vests.

This interview was conducted via e-mail before Olympic competition began. The U.S. women's soccer team beat Brazil today 1-0 in extra time to win gold.

Name: Tobin Heath School: UNC Year: Junior Age: 20 Major: Communications Olympic event: Women's soccer Hometown: Basking Ridge, N.J.

What is the best part of being in the Olympics? The overall experience. The fact that you are representing your country in the most remarkable sporting event is incredible.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? In 10 years, hopefully I will be still playing this beautiful sport. If I'm not blessed enough to do so, I would like to impact the world in some positive way, hopefully through soccer.

If you could take part in any Olympic sport besides your own, what would it be? Definitely swimming or gymnastics.

What's the best Olympic freebie you've gotten so far? The sweater-vest from Ralph Lauren. It's so rad.

What's your favorite kind of Chinese food, and how much of it are you planning on eating while you're in Beijing? Fried rice. Hopefully I will not be eating too much of it.

Is there anything you're hoping to see/do in China? I was looking forward to seeing the Great Wall of China and now that we have, it was more than I could have imagined. Pretty amazing.

What's your proudest accomplishment in your sport thus far, besides making it to Beijing? Winning a college national championship.

How is an Olympic athlete treated on campus? Like any other student. Being an Olympic athlete doesn't change who you are as a person.

Better uniform: UNC or Team USA? UNC. Carolina blue! It doesn't get much better than that. Although it's pretty special wearing your country's colors.

What are three movies, TV shows or bands you can't live without? Celine Dion, Bob Marley and Jimmy Buffet.

Who is your favorite professional athlete? Rafael Nadal and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Do you have any hobbies besides your sport? I enjoy the outdoors.

If you win a medal, what will you do with it? I'm just focusing on winning the medal first.
