1. Chris Osgood, Red Wings. Two starts in the final for Osgood, two selections as the game's first star. Safe to say he's the biggest reason the Red Wings are just two wins away from repeating as Cup champs after beating the Penguins 3-1 in Game 2 (RECAP | BOX). Just as in Game 1, Ozzie allowed a single Pittsburgh tally -- that makes eight of 18 games this spring that he's allowed one goal or less. He was rock-solid after Brad Stuart's ill-fated attempt to bat the puck out of the crease got behind him, especially in the third when the visitors outshot Detroit 12-3.

2. Valtteri Filppula, Red Wings. His go-ahead goal midway through the second might have looked a little awkward, but his nifty spinnerama move at the blueline that kept the puck in Pittsbugh's zone just moments earlier was a thing of beauty.

3. Nick Lidstrom/Brian Rafalski, Red Wings. Sidney Crosby created a few magical chances for himself tonight -- like anyone could prevent that from happening -- but for the second night in a row, he was held off the score sheet. That's the result of a consistent six-man effort from the Wings, but this defensive duo deserves the bulk of the credit for negating Crosby's impact with their tight checking and flawless positioning.
