Flyers' Bryzgalov, Devils' Clarkson, Parise make Tuesday's Three Stars

1. Ilya Bryzgalov, Flyers. Despite the loss, the goalie earns the first star simply because the Flyers had a chance to win this game in the third period, and that was because of nobody else but him.

2. David Clarkson, Devils. The game-winner wasn't a pretty goal, but most of Clarkson's aren't beauties. It's a typical Clarkson goal, heavy on effort and opportunity he makes for himself. The winger, who had a career high 30 goals this season, scores his first of the postseason, a relief for him and for a team that needs scoring that might be down from the absence of Kovalchuk

3. Zach Parise, Devils. The winger and Devils captain is the team's engine. His ability to motor through any obstacle -- even if that is Flyers defenseman Braydon Coburn -- makes him one of the most engaging players to watch. Clarkson's goal came because Parise put himself in the hard areas of the ice, and Parise's value in every situation makes him even more valuable to his team. He played more than four minutes short-handed against a Flyers power play that got off one shot in 8:13 with the man advantage.
