Humphries races to eighth straight World Cup win

LA PLAGNE, France (AP) Canada's Kaillie Humphries raced to her eighth straight World Cup bobsled victory, edging American Jamie Greubel by 0.27 seconds Friday.

Humphries and brakeman Chelsea Valois were fastest in both runs, finishing with a combined time of 2:03.30.

Greubel, from Newtown, Pa., teamed with brakeman Emily Azevedo of Chico, Calif. Fellow Americans Elana Meyers of Douglasville, Ga., and Katie Eberling of Palos Hills, Ill., were third in 2:03.81.

Jazmine Fenlator of Wayne, N.J., and track star Lolo Jones of Des Moines, Iowa, were eighth.

Also, Latvia's Martins Dukurs raced to his fourth skeleton victory of the year. Russia's Alexander Tretjyakov was second, and Tomass Dukurs, Martins' brother, finished third.
