Apologies From SIOC

Lauren Thompson is just one of may Sun Devil beauties. :: Bruce Yeung/Yeung Photography
Your Face is a Sports Blog took SIOC to task for including an "unattractive female student" from Arizona State in our latest Superfans Gallery (because, apparently, every girl is drop-dead gorgeous in Tempe). We thought this pic more than made up for it, but if not, we present a gallery of our favorite Sun Devil -- Lauren Thompson -- including this shot of her posing in front of a big mural of herself.
Leave the Wizard Alone
Officials at UCLA have requested that fans at Pauley Pavilion stay the hell away from the legendary John Wooden, as the 97-year-old former coach just wants to watch the game in peace. The NCAA, however, is hot on the trail of Wooden for alleged recruiting violations involving Kevin Love.
Big 12 All-Hair Team
Bring on the Cats -- a Kansas State blog -- has a rundown of the best hair in the Big 12. Our favorite is Oklahoma State's Tyler Hatch, whose dedication to the hair gel is admirable.
Tufts Students and Nudity
Last month, we told you about Tuft University's annual Naked Quad Run -- and the awesome video that came with it. Well, it turns out that not everyone found the video so awesome ... especially some of the naked students in the video.
NFL Conference Championship Breakdown
Simon on Sports has an interesting read about which schools produced the most players still alive in the NFL playoffs, broken down by conference. No surprise that the Big Ten has the most (35), but only eight players from the Big East? Kinda sad.
The General's Big Day

Congrats to Bobby Knight on his 900th career victory. :: Manny Milan/SI
SIOC would like to wish coach Bobby Knight a hearty congratulations on winning career game No. 900 last night. We could write a book on all of Knight's exploits (but that's been done before), so instead, we'll leave you with this random picture we found of coach Knight barking orders at a young Kevin McHale during the 1979 PanAm Games.
The Punter Who Beat up the Linebacker
At SIOC, we never condone violence but we were shocked at this story our of North Texas University, where freshman punter Gunter Elenburg left linebacker Brian Quackenbush with a 4-inch gash over his left eye and a bruised face after the two had a late night brawl last Friday night.
State Patty's Day in Happy Valley
We've got to hand it to Penn State students. Frustrated that St. Patrick's Day falls during spring break, students are trying to figure out an alternate date to celebrate the holiday (which they've renamed State Patty's day).
Pop Culture Nugget
Natalie Portman has created a new line of vegan-friendly footwear because she was having trouble finding "non-leather shoes that are beautiful and comfortable."
Today in Hot Clicks
Green Bay station pulls Seinfeld to punish Eli ... Bald man tattoos head to look like Patriots helmet ... Dorkiest NFL players ... Most memorable hockey fights.
Odds and Ends
Ryan Mallett has already moved into a dorm room at Arkansas ... CVS really knows its college-aged customers ... A former Ball State gymnast is one of the American Gladiators ... Michigan is planning a block party for Terrelle Pryor.

Ouch

Reason No. 256 why it's never a good idea jump out of a recycling bin and scare someone.
