Who says there's nothing to do on campus during the summer? Penn State students were shown the first episode of Crime Scene University last night. The show, which is based on the popular CSI, depicts a fictional situation in which four dead bodies are found on campus and two teams of six students have eight hours to figure out who killed them. No word on whether the vastly underrated Marg Helgenberger was involved.

Stanford Students Go to Jail

OK, not exactly, but the university has agreed to fund up to $1 million in energy-efficiency improvements to a downtown San Jose jail.

The Cost of Loving the Gators

Florida alumni may love their football team, but will they pay nearly $650 to attend a game? That's how much the Gators are charging for season tickets ($224 for the tickets plus a $4,200 donation to the school). If the school can somehow guarantee the presence of this UF undergrad at each game, we're confident attendance will skyrocket.

University of Kansas sports team physician Sean Cupp actually studied this age-old debate and concluded that it's quite OK, as long as its part of your pregame ritual.

Paging Jared

We don't mean to dissuade you from going to Subway, whose $5 subs have been an enormous boost to our wallets the past couple months, but be sure to watch out for knives in your sandwich.

Pop Culture Nugget

Emile Hirsch, Justin Long -- it looks like Kirsten Dunst is hitting on every celeb she can find in hopes that someone will actually date her. If she could find a way to always look like this (and never like this), we predict she'd have more luck.
