Here's why you need to take everything you see from athletes on Twitter with a grain of salt. Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson attended an ESPY's party Tuesday night. Someone connected to the event asked Jackson to tweet about the awesomeness of the bash. How do we know this? Because Jackson actually tweeted the request. However, the folks behind the party shouldn't fret. Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, Bills quarterback Vince Young and U.S. soccer captain Carlos Bocanegra all came though without incident.

*This is only according to the people who threw the party. We have no proof the party was in fact awesome.
Speaking Of Twitter...
Nebraska defensive end Eric Martin went on a Twitter tirade Tuesday against his school for not sending him his check. I'm not sure what check, but it's very clear from this performance that he wants his check.
If You Need A Sports Fix Tonight
With no sports on the docket, you might want to check out Showtime's The Franchise: A Season With The Miami Marlins at 10 p.m. ET The newest preview clip is the best one yet. Closer Heath Bell confronts manager Ozzie Guillen for not having enough faith in him. (Ironically enough, Guillen announced today that the Marlins will use a closer-by-committee to start the second half.)
