Jimmy is taking his annual two-day sabbatical to recover from the tourney's first weekend, so I'll be here until Wednesday. And by "tourney's first weekend," we are not talking about basketball. Instead, we are talking about Thundertreat.com's Cougar Madness Tournament, which is about to enter the Sweet 16. Our favorite coming out of the Midwest is fourth-seeded Mary Louise Parker while Entourage's Carla Gugino looks like the front-runner in the East.
While you try and process those Cougar Madness brackets, here are some highlights from the NCAA tournament's first weekend. A security guard made quick work of this fan's sign ... Blake Griffin answered any questions about his athleticism with this dunk ... An East Tennessee State assistant coach looks like he just finished middle school ... Florida State may have lost to Wisconsin, but those Seminole cheerleaders should bring a smile to any FSU fan ... The Big Lead has its awards for the tourney's first weekend.
The Wonderlic Scores are in and Maryland cornerback Kevin Barnes looks to be the big winner with a score of 41 (out of 50). Georgia QB Matthew Stafford received a 38 while Florida WR Percy Harvin scored a 12. Most interesting, however, is a note buried at the bottom of the story about Terry Bradshaw's test in 1970 on which he received an embarrassingly low score of 15.

Uncoached has come up with its All-NBA Facial Hair Team, led by Brian Skinner, Drew Gooden and the Gasol brothers. This, of course, got us curious about facial hair, so here are a few other collections worth checking out: Best celebrity mustaches, the 20 best mustaches in sports and the greatest beards in baseball.
Talk about a screw job. Chicago's North Lawndale College Prep hoops team was assessed a technical foul during the state semifinals because the stripe on their uniform was too wide. Of course, the team had been playing all season in the same uniform with nary a complaint. Oh, and they lost the game by a point.
Even if you don't like mixed martial arts, you have to admire this amputee who is set to make his MMA debut next month ... College lacrosse players truly have fantastic hair ... The Yankees are now officially licensing their infield grass, or "Yankee Sod" as it is now known ... Lawn mower racing and 27 other strange sports you need to see to believe ... This blog of "deliciously gross foods" is the most entertaining thing we saw all weekend -- unless you don't like the Blitz Blintz (A large meat pizza rolled like a blintz filled with ranch dressing).
Amanda Bynes wants you to notice her legs ... Martha Washington comes in third in AskMen's list of the 10 Hottest Historical Women ... Lacey Chabert has come a long way since Party of Five ... This is Emma Heming, who married Bruce Willis on Saturday ... Who knew Penelope Cruz has a sister who is hotter than her?
Check out George Costanza, circa 1985, as a pitchman for McDonald's. And if you liked that one, you'll enjoy this collection of embarrassing "before they were famous" commercials.
This is the early favorite for starting line-up introduction of the year.
