Phillies outfielder Domonic Brown is the latest major leaguer to be sidelined by a bizarre injury. Brown had to be scratched from Friday's game with neck problems, stemming from a nap he took on the team bus.
Embarrassing
When you make the ridiculous decision to follow an NFL team's van on live TV, as if something very important is going on, you better make sure you at least, you know, follow the van. ESPN had this problem Friday afternoon when the network decided the world needed to see a van with members of the Broncos front office in it driving to meet Peyton Manning.
Helps To Have Connections
Legendary Braves outfielder Dale Murphy arranged for his son Jake to propose to his (very attractive) girlfriend during a first pitch ceremony before Atlanta's spring training game on Wednesday.

The Best Thing On The Internet Today
A 12-year-old has written a feisty letter about the plain donut.
E-Mail Of The Day
Nathan Plitzuweit, of Green Bay, says, "I spent March 9 with Tom Crabtree of the Packers as part of the #HangWithTom contest he and his PR guy Alex did over Twitter, Facebook, e-mail, and YouTube. I had contacted Hot Clicks a while back about getting help to win this contest and I do believe the Hot Clicks pressure helped.

By now you have possibly seen the dodgeball video that was put together by Alex, but I thought I would give you a rundown of the day and some context as it seems the other blogs aren't concerned about context.

The day started out with Tom and Alex meeting myself and another winner at a pancake place in Green Bay. I'm pretty sure Tom ate two meals and was done before I finished my first rather large pancake.

We then went to his house where we got to see and wear some Super Bowl gear. Tom is a gamer so we spent some time playing the original NES's Super Tecmo Bowl and then some Modern Warfare 3, which Tom could absolutely destroy Chad Ochocinco in if Ochocinco ever takes him on. Tom also pulled out his guitar and showed his rocker side and gave us some lessons.

After some excellent homemade bread made by his wife, we went to St. Paul Lutheran in Green Bay where Tom met personally with the third and fourth grade classroom and then answered questions from the entire school in the gym. This is where we then played the seventh and eighth grade classroom in dodgeball; five adults against 20-plus kids. Yes, the kid in the red was that good.

We then traveled to Lambeau Field where we had a late lunch/dinner at Curley's Pub and got a personal tour. When Tom's tour made it to the field, Tom pulled out his Super Bowl XLV ring and let us see it and try it on.

No tattoo trip, but we could only do so much. I still plan on getting my first tattoo, just as a way of keeping good on my original plan and I'm hoping I will have Tom's tattoo guy do the work.

All in all, it was an unbelievable day with an unbelievable professional. How many NFL tight end's would give up an entire day to spend it with two fans, pay for everything, invite them to his house, and spend a good two hours with a bunch of grade school kids? Thanks to Hot Clicks for helping me meet Tom and be a part of this incredible day."
Sports Video Of The Day
Dick Vitale appeared on Chicago's WGN-TV today. It was a trainwreck.

Band Member Video Of The Day
This video has been on YouTube for more than two weeks, but it has just 300 views. Given this guy's enthusiasm, that's a travesty. (Thanks to Jimmy, of Glen Ridge, N.J., for the video.)
