11Oklahoma State Cowboys
Last Week: 11
A-ha! At last, I've figured out a way to settle this Big 12 tiebreaker thing. Should the Cowboys fall to Oklahoma on Saturday, thus creating the three-way tie -- ask Mike Gundy which team is best. Of course, he'll only know their defenses.
Last game: Beat Colorado, 30-17.
Next game: Saturday vs. Oklahoma.

12Georgia Bulldogs
Last Week: 12
The Dawgs' bye week came at an ideal time. As North Carolina showed a few games ago, having an extra week's preparation can make a huge difference in preparing your defense for Georgia Tech's triple-option offense.
Last game: Beat Auburn, 17-13.
Next game: Saturday vs. Georgia Tech.

13Missouri Tigers
Last Week: 13
This year's Border War doesn't carry nearly as much anticipation as last year's edition, when Missouri and Kansas were both ranked in the top five. Still, expect another shootout between Chase Daniel and Todd Reesing.
Last game: Beat Iowa State, 52-20.
Next game: Saturday vs. Kansas.

14TCU Horned Frogs
Last Week: 14
TCU's ultra-dominant defense held Air Force to 161 total yards last week and remains the top-ranked unit in the country. The Horned Frogs must still be kicking themselves for giving up that 80-yard TD drive against Utah.
Last game: Beat Air Force, 44-10.
Next game: Bowl game TBD.

15Ball State Cardinals
Last Week: 15
QB Nate Davis gets more pub, but RB MiQuale Lewis stole the show in last week's snowy thriller against Central Michigan, rushing for 177 yards on 28 carries. Lewis now ranks fourth nationally in rushing (131.8 yards per game).
Last game: Beat Central Michigan, 31-24.
Next game: Tuesday vs. Western Michigan.

16Oregon State Beavers
Last Week: 17
It must be destiny. The Beavers pulled it out in Tucson despite losing star RB Jacquizz Rodgers (shoulder) in the first quarter and despite eventual hero Justin Kahut missing a game-tying extra point with 3:58 left. One more to go ...
Last game: Beat Arizona, 19-17.
Next game: Saturday vs. Oregon.

17Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
Last Week: 22
Mark my words: The triple-option is about to make a comeback. Any remaining disbelievers in Paul Johnson's offense didn't watch the Jackets rack up an astonishing 472 rushing yards against Miami last Thursday.
Last game: Beat Miami, 41-23.
Next game: Saturday at Georgia.

18Cincinnati Bearcats
Last Week: 17
Bearcats QB Tony Pike threw 20 passes prior to this season. He's playing with a broken non-throwing arm. On Saturday against Pittsburgh, he went 26-of-32 for 309 yards and three TDs to put Cincy a win away from the BCS.
Last game: Beat Pittsburgh, 28-21.
Next game: Saturday vs. Syracuse.

19Boston College Eagles
Last Week: 25
The Eagles can clinch their division this week, but they'll have to do it without QB Chris Crane, who broke his collarbone. Replacement Dominique Davis had two fumbles returned for TDs last week but also had the winning score.
Last game: Beat Wake Forest, 24-21.
Next game: Saturday vs. Maryland.

20Florida State Seminoles
Last Week: --
If you haven't done so already, be sure to read Andy Staples' first-hand account of Rhodes Scholar Myron Rolle's dash from Birmingham to College Park last Saturday. FSU was well on its way to victory by the time he arrived.
Last game: Beat Maryland, 37-3.
Next game: Saturday vs. Florida.
1 - 10 11 - 20 21 - 25
