Will Jets trade keep LeBron from NYC?

It's clear Cleveland wasn't big enough for both LeBron James and Braylon Edwards. But is New York? James may have gotten Braylon Edwards banished from Cleveland after the football player scuffled with a friend of the basketball star, but did James know Edwards would land in New York with the Jets. James looks headed toward free agency at the end of the NBA season, with the Knicks often rumored as a desirable suitor. The Knicks can't pay James as much as the Cavaliers can. Now a supposed rival is in town. James, who called Edwards "childish" for allegedly punching one of his friends outside a nightclub earlier this week, didn't take the opportunity of Edwards being traded to take another swipe at the former Browns wide receiver. "Nothing to comment on," James said. "You guys never asked me before about any other trades in the NFL. It's not my sport to worry about." (New York Post) Comment

Cowboys still America's favorite team

The Dallas Cowboys are still America's favorite football team according to The Harris Poll's latest pro football poll. When asked to name "America's favorite team," respondents ranked the Cowboys first , followed by the Pittsburgh Steelers, Chicago Bears, Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots, according to poll results. This is the third straight year that the Cowboys came in at No. 1. Rounding out the top ten were the Green Bay Packers, Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants, Tennessee Titans and the Minnesota Vikings. The Packers, fifth last year, have fallen after holding or tieing for the top spot from 2002 through 2005. (Business Journal of Milwaukee) Comment

LSU noise may keep Tebow out

One factor that could keep Tim Tebow out against LSU is his reaction to noise. Tiger Stadium is known for being one of the toughest college football environments and if Tebow can't perform properly because of the noise, Urban Meyer won't hesitate to sit him. "If the noise bothers Tim, he won't be in the game. It means he's still symptomatic (for a concussion)," Meyer said. Meyer added that it's likely that a decision won't be made until Saturday, but that he's not withholding information to get a leg up on the Tigers. (The Gainesville Sun (Gator Sports)) Comment
