Marbury rips Jordan as a

Stephon Marbury took another run at Michael Jordan on Wednesday, calling out his Airness again. On Tuesday, Marbury took to Twitter to address another lockout hot topic: NBA legend and current [Jordan's] role as a hard-liner in these negotiations. Marbury, as per usual, minced no words. "Micheal Fake Jordan is a sell out. #Period. ... MJ went from MJ the black cat to a guy who forgot he was a player. Sell your team if you can't make a profit.. Your just a regular dude now! ... When he rapped the Bulls for 36 million for one year no ones said nothing about that... He never did nothing that I knew about to change the life off of the court other then hit cats over the head for a 100 150 dollar sneakers and still doing it ..." (CBSSports.com) Comment

Pack set sights on undefeated season

So much for worrying about some sort of jinx. [After Sunday's win, Charles Woodson] vented for awhile before I brought up a topic I assumed would get him even more riled up: The possibility that the Packers could win out to join the 2007 Patriots as the only 16-0 team in NFL regular-season history. ... "I don't care. We're 8-0. We'd love to be 16-0 -- love to. It's a realistic conversation now. We're halfway there. So yeah, let's talk about it." I asked Woodson, the team's unquestioned leader on the defensive side of the ball, if he'd talked about the hunt for an unblemished record with his offensive counterpart, quarterback Aaron Rodgers. "Yeah, at times," Woodson said. "We know what we want." (Yahoo! Sports) Comment

Angels interested in Fielder and Pujols

Arte Moreno has granted Jerry Dipoto complete power in Anaheim, and now it's a matter of how he wields it. [Dipoto] says not to count out the franchise as a player in the free-agent sweepstakes for Prince Fielder and Albert Pujols. "Don't assume that we have no interest in Fielder or Pujols," Dipoto said in an interview with ESPN.com. ... "We don't want to lock the door. We are a high-revenue team and I'm a big believer in acquiring impact players. However, they are not our greatest need and are not priority number one on our list." Dipoto, who took over the job on Oct. 29 after replacing Tony Reagins, said the team's top offseason priority is strengthening the bullpen, especially in terms of right-handed arms.
