The A's clinched a playoff spot last night, which led to an exuberant celebration in the clubhouse. In another sign that pitcher Brandon McCarthy is recovering nicely after undergoing brain surgery, teammate and fellow pitcher Brett Anderson was able to poke fun of McCarthy's "condition." He tweeted out the picture above, with the message: "We made sure @BMcCarthy32 celebrated safely and with a bonus drool cup." In other MLB celebration news, Tigers catcher Alex Avila went to great lengths to make sure he didn't get any champagne in his eyes and nose after Detroit clinched the AL Central last night. The champagne and beer were also flowing in Washington, where the Nats wrapped up the NL East.
"Tony Romo Gets More Done On His Own Than Any Quarterback In Pro Football"
This absurd line was uttered by ESPN's Jon Gruden during a semi-psychotic rant before last night's Bears-Cowboys game. As you probably know by now, Romo threw five interceptions.
Warning: Graphic Video
I know it's hard for most of you to watch a 10-minute video because you're supposed to be working, but try to watch some of this "movie" that covers the past 20 years of Pirates futility so you can appreciate the pain Pittsburgh fans have been through.

Will He Give Replacement Refs A Cut?
Fans of the Seahawks were not the only people who enjoyed the replacement refs getting the call wrong last Monday. The Seattle victory gave one Canadian man a $725,274 payout after going 15-for-15 in a picks contest.
Memorable Day In Morgantown
No offense to Mountaineers quarterback Geno Smith, but best thing about West Virginia's ridiculous 70-63 win over Baylor last Saturday came after the game when the entire home crowd joined in unison to sing Country Roads.
Drummer Video Of The Day
You won't see a more passionate performance ever.

Dog Video Of The Day
This dog will leave the street at his own leisure. No one can make him move. (Thanks to Daniel McAvinue, of Dublin, for the video.)
