Mater Dei falls; Oak Hill new No. 1

In the end, the crown was too heavy for the Monarchs.After going 30-0, No. 1 Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) fell to King (Riverside, Calif.) 71-56 in the Division I-AA championship. It was the third consecutive sectional championship loss for Gary McKnight's team, but the SoCal power is still alive in the Division I Southern California Regional playoffs.
