Big Ten, Boise in line to reap what they've sown (cont.)

NCAA Football Power Rankings
21Virginia Tech Hokies
Last Week: 13
The Hokies had 10 days to get over a loss to Georgia Tech and get ready for North Carolina, and they laid an egg on their home field anyway. They'll need to rebound at East Carolina, or this season could take an ugly turn.
Last game: Lost to North Carolina, 20-17
Next game: Thursday at East Carolina
22Oklahoma St. Cowboys
Last Week: 16
Barring a successful appeal of his NCAA penalty, Dez Bryant is done. So too are the Cowboys' Big 12 title chances. So what happens now? Do the Pokes pack it in, or do they play their way into a nice bowl trip?
Last game: Lost to Texas, 41-14
Next game: Saturday at Iowa State
23West Virginia Mountaineers
Last Week: 18
The Mountaineers still have as good a shot at the Big East title as anyone, but their flop last week in Tampa makes it tough to believe they can beat Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. They can beat Louisville, though.
Last game: Lost to South Florida, 30-19
Next game: Saturday vs. Louisville
24Brigham Young Cougars
Last Week: 24
The Cougars take the field for the first time since getting pounded by TCU. BYU still could sneak into a three-way tie for the Mountain West title, so don't expect the Cougars to lose focus.
Last game: Lost to TCU, 38-7
Next game: Saturday at Wyoming
25Oklahoma Sooners
Last Week: 25
If the Sooners can get past Ndamukong Suh and the Cornhuskers, a 9-3 regular season remains a distinct possibility. Oklahoma didn't begin 2009 with dreams of playing in the Cotton Bowl, but after a disastrous start, a return to JerryWorld -- where the nightmare began -- could provide closure for a weird season.
Last game: Beat Kansas State, 42-30
Next game: Saturday at Nebraska

Next five: Cal, South Florida, Texas Tech, Auburn, Clemson
