NCAA Football Power Rankings
21Arizona Wildcats
Last Week: --
That loss at Iowa in September certainly doesn't look bad now, and another team that lost by three at Washington sits at No. 5 in the BCS standings. The Wildcats are more than happy to let USC and Oregon get all the attention. They know they'll still have their chance to win the Pac-10 no matter what happens Saturday in Eugene.
Last game: Beat UCLA, 27-13
Next game: Nov. 7 vs. Washington State
22Wisconsin Badgers
Last Week: 22
The Badgers had a week to recover from their loss to Iowa. Saturday, they'll have a chance to pop Purdue's bubble and snap a two-game losing streak.
Last game: Lost to Iowa, 20-10
Next game: Saturday vs. Purdue
23Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Last Week: 23
Once again, the Fighting Irish barely survived against a less-than-stellar opponent. At least they give the fans their money's worth. If they need to go down to the wire to beat the Cougars this week, it'll signify a deeper problem.
Last game: Beat Boston College, 20-16
Next game: Saturday vs. Washington State in San Antonio
24Brigham Young Cougars
Last Week: 15
This certainly wasn't where the Cougars expected to be after they shocked Oklahoma in Week 1. Unfortunately, despite coach Bronco Mendenhall's excellent recruiting efforts, BYU is not at an elite level quite yet.
Last game: Lost to TCU, 38-7
Next game: Nov. 7 vs. Wyoming
25Oklahoma Sooners
Last Week: --
This certainly isn't where Oklahoma expected to be when Sam Bradford announced he would return for the 2009 season. But with Bradford done as a Sooner, Oklahoma can move forward behind Landry Jones and a defense that seems to get better every week. In his five starts, Jones has averaged 290.2 passing yards per game. Those aren't quite Bradford numbers, but he's getting there.
Last game: Beat Kansas, 35-13
Next game: Saturday vs. Kansas State

Next five: South Carolina, Stanford, Iowa State, Central Michigan, Southern Miss

Andy Staples' Power Rankings also serve as his ballot in the Associated Press Top 25 poll.
