According to the Boston Globe, the reason for the Red Sox late-season collapse (and the departure of manager Terry Francona and likely departure of general manager Theo Epstein) was fried chicken and beer. OK, OK, I'm simplifying things just a bit, but players eating fried chicken. drinking beer and playing video games in the clubhouse DURING games is just one of the explosive accusations made in this story.
Bad Stuff All AroundTigers slugger Victor Martinez injured himself while hitting a home run in Detroit's 5-2 win over Texas last night. Viewers were then given their own dose of pain when Fox's Tim McCarver said, "Baseball, a game of oblique angles, has become a game of oblique injuries." Oy vey!
Faker!Rangers star Josh Hamilton's bat went flying into the stands last night after a swing and a miss, causing one fan who got slightly grazed by the bat to act as if he was shot.

Fox Sports Arizona GirlsLast Friday, Hot Clicks featured the "Fox Sports Detroit Girls," who were a big hit with you guys. After that item, I received tons of e-mails from folks telling me that the Fox Sports Arizona Girls and the Fox Sports Midwest Girls should also get some Hot Clicks love.
Another Dagger For Matt SchaubWhen the Raiders sealed their win against the Texans last Sunday on the last play of the game, their defense only had 10 men on the field.
Sports Video Of The DayThe Broncos named Tim Tebow their starting quarterback yesterday, so naturally this news is causing some people to lose their mind with excitement, including this sports reporter from a local Denver station. (Thanks to Mike K., of Boulder, Col., for the link.)
Flash Mob Video Of The DayYes, flash mob videos are played out (but not as much as trick shot videos), however this flash mob was done to surprise former Niners quarterback Steve Young for his 50th birthday. And the song the people danced to is Earth, Wind & Fire's Boogie Wonderland. So I'm posting it.
That'll Leave A Mark Video Of The DayVideos like this one is why the Internet was invented. Cameron Pilley, who, according to the YouTube description, holds the world record holder for hardest squash ball ever hit at 175 miles per hour, hits the ball at his brother. The result? A hole in the guy's back. (Thanks to Warrick Wilson, of Poulsbo, Wash., for the video.)
